Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the significance and versatility of the activities of the Mothers of Russia public movement. He told the participants of the conference “Mother’s Heart – Heart of Russia” organized by the movement in an address published on website Kremlin.
“I note with satisfaction the great, in-demand work being carried out by the all-Russian social movement “Mothers of Russia”, the organizer of the current conference… Such significant, multifaceted activity is worthy of the deepest recognition,” said Vladimir Putin.
According to the president, volunteers and activists of the movement participate in the implementation of projects to improve the health of citizens, provide humanitarian assistance to our Russian military personnel in Ukraine, care for the wounded in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, and pay attention to the patriotic education of the younger generation.
Vladimir Putin said that the focus of the conference organizers was supporting motherhood and childhood, promoting family values, improving the demographic situation, and solving current problems in the social sphere.
The All-Russian social movement “Mothers of Russia” was founded in February 2012. According to information on website organizations, the movement now unites more than 700 public organizations working in the field of family, motherhood and childhood in Russia. Regional branches of “Mothers of Russia” are open in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
