President Vladimir Putin said that the psychological assistance service in the country is not developing as needed. At the moment, authorities at all levels do not pay due attention to this issue, Mr. Putin said at a meeting with young scientists at the Sirius Center.

The issue of improving the work of the psychological assistance service will be considered within the framework of the coordinating commission. Mr. Putin promised to instruct Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on this issue, reports “RIA News”.

The President recalled that the Ministry of Emergency Situations uses the services of psychologists quite effectively and on a regular basis. “Why? Because there, obviously, the help of specialists like you is in demand,” Vladimir Putin said.

In connection with the military operation increased the demand of citizens for psychological assistance, psychologists reported. Among the complaints are constant anxiety, a lost sense of security – “as if the ground had been knocked out from under your feet”, helplessness, anger, fear and guilt. Against this background, a draft law on psychological assistance in Russia will be submitted to the State Duma.
