Putin instructed to take measures to integrate drones into the airspace

Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked the government to take comprehensive measures to integrate unmanned aerial vehicles into the country’s unified airspace. This is reported in the list of instructions published on Kremlin website.
Integration must be carried out in order to ensure the safe operation of unmanned aerial systems, the document states.
It is also proposed to consider the issue of digital transformation of air traffic management – systems of maintenance, navigation, landing, surveillance, communications and counteraction to drones.
The government needs to fulfill the order before September 1, 2023.
