President Vladimir Putin instructed consider the possibility of collecting information about patients using digital services and placing this data in an electronic medical record before visiting a doctor. The innovation should reduce the administrative burden on the medical staff. The instruction was given to the government and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects, the report must be submitted by September 15, 2022.
“Consider the issue of the need to introduce amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation that provide for the possibility of collecting information about a patient (questionnaires) by a medical organization with his consent using digital services,”— says in the order. This information will be processed, including with the use of artificial intelligence.
Against the backdrop of the spread of coronavirus in Russia, they began to actively implement methods of remote work of doctors with patients. So, from January 1, 2022, sick leave are issued only in electronic form. The exception is employees whose information is a state secret or in respect of whom state protection measures are being taken.
