Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to provide support for research centers in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) until 2030. This is stated on site Kremlin.

The president instructed to pay special attention to “the need for them to conduct research on optimizing machine learning algorithms and computational processes, including those related to the development of large language models and generative artificial intelligence technologies.”

In addition, Putin instructed the Cabinet to monitor the effectiveness of spending funds from the budget to finance research in the field of AI. Monitoring will have to take place jointly with the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
