Putin instructed to prepare proposals for the demobilization of doctors

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and the authorities of four new regions to prepare proposals for the exemption from military duty of doctors of a number of specialties called up for military service on partial mobilization in the Russian Armed Forces, reported on the Kremlin website.

“The Ministry of Defense of Russia, together with the Ministry of Health of Russia and the executive authorities of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, the Zaporizhia Region, the Kherson Region, and submit proposals for the release from military duty of prosthetists, orthopedists and doctors of other specialties called up for military service for mobilization to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

It is necessary to fulfill the order of the head of state before February 1.

In addition, the president instructed to study the development of the production of prostheses in Russia, their components and raw materials. This measure is aimed at meeting the needs of citizens with amputated limbs, including those injured during a special operation in Ukraine.

Partial mobilization took place in Russia from September 21 to October 31, 2022. Putin noted that as a result, 318,000 people were mobilized instead of the originally planned 300,000, since a large number of volunteers wanted to go to the war zone. On December 8, Putin announced that there was no need for additional mobilization measures at the moment.

November 13 Russian President instructed to demobilize students from the DPR and LPR from military service. Five days later, the acting heads of the DPR and LPR signed the relevant decrees. According to the documents, students who study full-time and part-time forms of education should be demobilized from military service.
