Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with members of the government, instructed to work out additional subsidies for equipment used in social gasification. Up to 400 billion rubles will be allocated for this. In a conversation with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the head of state agreed that the gasification process is slowing down due to the high cost of equipment.
“It is imperative to work out your proposal for additional support for citizens who need such support, and make an appropriate decision together with the regions. If all applications need to be implemented, then it will be somewhere around 400 billion. It will be necessary to think in advance about these sources of funding,” Mr. Putin said in response to Mr. Novak’s report (quoted by TASS).
The Russian president noted that various processes are holding back gasification – the cost of equipment, work inside the site, installation. He recalled that the average amount of social benefits, in particular to veterans and the disabled, in the regions is 70-80 thousand rubles, and equipment can cost 75 thousand rubles, work on laying a gas pipe inside the site – 45-50 thousand rubles. Thus, the cost of gasification becomes “unsustainable,” the President said.
