In 84 schools in Russia, by the beginning of the school year, they did not have time to complete repairs, Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Ministry of Education, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday. According to the minister, shortcomings were identified at the final stage of the work.
The President demanded that the contractors responsible for this be identified and no more contracts be concluded with them.
“We must definitely identify who is to blame for this, look at the contractors who did not complete the required amount of work in the right time, and respond accordingly,” Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the government.
Earlier, Sergei Kravtsov, at the all-Russian parent meeting dedicated to the start of the new school year, said that on September 1, half a million more students would go to Russian schools than last year.
