Putin instructed ambulance drivers in the Northern Military District to receive payments for doctors

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to extend social benefits for medical workers to ambulance drivers working in the zone of a special military operation, reports press service Kremlin. The deadline is April 27.

The order states that ambulance drivers will be paid social benefits on the same basis as paramedics of emergency teams and employees involved in conducting forensic medical examinations. The maximum amount of payments provided for this category is 40 thousand rubles.

Additional social assistance to doctors in the Northern Military District zone was appointed by the Russian government in the spring of 2023. The initiative was extended in 2024. The maximum amount of the bonus depends on the level of education and position held and ranges from 20 thousand to 100 thousand rubles.

The President also instructed to equip ambulances operating in a 15-km zone from the line of combat contact with personal protective equipment and vehicle protection, including electronic warfare equipment. This zone includes the Zaporozhye, Kherson, Belgorod regions, as well as the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics.
