Russian President Vladimir Putin has included children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova in the Board of Trustees of the Circle of Good Foundation, expelled actresses Chulpan Khamatova and Ksenia Rappoport, as well as Elizaveta Oleskina, the founder of the Old Age for Joy Foundation. This follows from decree president.
Member of the council included:
- Maria Lvova-Belova – Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights;
- Oleg Novitsky – pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of the Russian Federation (as agreed);
- Vladislav Tretyak – State Duma deputy (as agreed).
From the composition excluded:
- Elizaveta Oleskina – a public figure;
- Ksenia Rappoport – actress;
- Larisa Fechina – State Duma deputy;
- Chulpan Khamatova is an actress.
The decree comes into force from the date of signing.
The Circle of Kindness is one of the state non-budgetary funds. Created on January 5, 2021 by presidential decree to provide assistance to children with severe life-threatening and chronic diseases, including rare (orphan) diseases.
