Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
The talks were held at the initiative of South Africa.
“Cyril Ramaphosa thanked for the warm welcome and constructive conversation about possible ways to resolve the situation around Ukraine during the June visit to St. Petersburg of leaders and representatives of a number of African states,” the press service said.
It is also noted that consideration of the peace initiative of African countries on the situation in Ukraine will be continued in connection with the Russia-Africa summit. It will take place at the end of July.
