Investigative Committee demanded to arrest the suspects in the preparation of the assassination attempt on Simonyan and Sobchak

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation demanded the arrest of six suspects in the preparation of the assassination attempt on journalists Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak, Vedomosti was told in the press service of the Basmanny Court of Moscow.

They said that the court received a petition from the investigation to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for Mikhail Balashov, Yegor Savelyev, as well as suspects Novik, Zakharov, Gusev and Yemelyanov.

Earlier today FSB informed, which prevented the preparation by the Ukrainian special services of the assassination of the editor-in-chief of the RT television channel Margarita Simonyan. According to the service, Kyiv also planned the murder of journalist Ksenia Sobchak. Members of the Paragraph-88 neo-Nazi group were detained in Moscow and the Ryazan region, they conducted reconnaissance “at the addresses of work and residence” Simonyan and Sobchak, the report says. For each murder, the detainees, according to them, should have received 1.5 million rubles. A Kalashnikov assault rifle and 90 cartridges for it, knives, brass knuckles, rubber truncheons, handcuffs, chevrons, as well as flags with Nazi symbols and Nazi literature were confiscated from those preparing the assassination.

“The FSB, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee, detained a group that, by order of Ukraine, was preparing my murder. Followed me, knew all my addresses. We work, brothers! – commented what happened Simonyan.
