Putin held a meeting with the head of Udmurtia

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov. About it reported in the Kremlin.

During a meeting with the president, Brechalov singled out three problems in the region: healthcare, roads, and budget security. In the first case, tension remains in Udmurtia regarding the staffing of hospitals with specialists, although over the past two years more workers have come into the industry than have left. As for roads, Brechalov noted a drop in quality with an increase in the pace of construction.

The head of the region asked the president to talk about budget security and the level of public debt separately. “Obviously, with the growth of deductions to the federal budget, in our country, especially since 2020, the republic is in deficit,” Brechalov said.

The head of Udmurtia also told Putin about the work that is being done to support the participants in the special operation. He asked the president to support the improvement of the material and technical base of the hospital for war veterans. Its capacities need to be increased, this issue is being worked out with the Ministry of Health.

In 2022, the GRP of Udmurtia amounted to 910 billion rubles, investments in fixed assets – 137 billion rubles, Brechalov said. He added that unemployment in the region is 3.4%. Putin noted that this is a good indicator.

In addition, Brechalov asked the president to support another important facility for the region – a tuberculosis hospital. He explained that the contractors failed, and the estimate documentation had to be updated, as a result, the readiness of the facility is only 67%. The head of the region noted that he would then give Putin a letter on this issue.
