Putin approved the launch of a long-term savings program for citizens from 2024

A law signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared on the portal of legal information, which launches a long-term savings program for citizens from January 1, 2024.
With the help of this program, it will be possible to voluntarily enter into an agreement with one or more non-state pension funds for a period of at least 15 years. During this time, at the expense of already existing pension savings, additional contributions, citizens will form long-term savings, which will be insured in the amount of 2.8 million rubles. The state will co-finance the contributions for three years at 36,000 rubles a year.
After 15 years of participation in the program and reaching the age of 55 for women and 60 for men, citizens will become eligible for periodic payments. In special life situations, the money will be allowed to be taken earlier. In addition, inheritance of savings is also allowed.
