The Council of the State Duma decided on the proposal of the speaker Vyacheslav Volodin to hold four plenary sessions a week instead of three in the next two weeks. About it reported press service of the lower house of parliament.
“The commission on regulations will prepare an appropriate resolution. The State Duma will consider it at a plenary meeting on July 11,” the message says.
Volodin noted that before the end of the session, it is necessary to consider, in particular, bills on a ban on gender reassignment, exemption from VAT for tour operators in domestic and inbound directions, as well as guarantees to support orphans in providing them with housing.
The last meeting of the spring session will be held on July 26, after which the deputies will work in their constituencies until August 7.
The fact that the State Duma will adjust the schedule of work and holidays in 2023, earlier wrote “Vedomosti”. It was originally planned that the last plenary meeting of the spring convocation would be held on July 27, and the first meeting of the autumn session on September 12. At the end of June, a draft resolution was submitted proposing that the vacation be taken on August 7, and the vacation would end on September 5. At the same time, two weeks from September 5 to September 17 are also planned to be made regional.
That is, in the State Duma for the autumn session, deputies, if a resolution is adopted, will gather for a plenary session only on September 19. Thus, deputies may not appear on Okhotny Ryad for seven weeks. In 2022, they had this opportunity for nine weeks.
