Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek-Evkurov and retired Colonel Andrei Troshev, who was a member of the leadership of the Wagner PMC. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
During his conversation with Troshev, Putin recalled that during their previous dialogue the issue of forming volunteer brigades for the Northern Military District was raised.
“You yourself fought in such a unit for more than a year. You know what it is,” the Russian leader noted.
The President also touched upon guarantees for SVO participants. He noted that to solve such problems, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation recently began its work in the Russian Federation. According to him, employees of this organization provide timely assistance to combat veterans and relatives of fallen servicemen.
At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the meeting, confirmed that Andrei Troshev is currently already working in the Ministry of Defense.
