The Russian General Staff has no plans for additional mobilization. About it stated Deputy Chief of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff, Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky.

“I would like to separately emphasize that the General Staff has no plans to carry out additional mobilization activities,” he said.

Tsimlyansky noted that in order to complete the assigned tasks within the framework of the special operation, there are enough people willing to enroll in military service under a contract and volunteers. In addition, he drew attention to the fact that recently the number of people wishing to enter the contract service has increased significantly. “For their timely registration, the Russian Ministry of Defense has expanded the network of points for selecting citizens for military service under contract and increased the number of instructors to work with candidates,” added Tsimlyansky.

The autumn conscription this year will begin on October 1, conscripts will begin to be sent to military units on October 16. At the end of their service, all conscripts will be discharged and will be able to return home.

Starting October 17, a hotline will operate, through which specialists will answer questions related to the draft on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00 Moscow time.

Partial mobilization was announced in Russia from September 21 to October 31, 2022. At the end of this period, the Ministry of Defense reported on the completion of the task of recruiting 300,000 people from the reserve.
