Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Soviet and Russian radio and television presenter Anna Shatilova on her 85th birthday. The head of state emphasized that the announcer is a legend of domestic television.
In a telegram published on the Kremlin website, Putin noted Shatilova’s brilliant professionalism, sincerity and charm. He called her “a spiritually generous person, a true legend of Russian television.”
The Russian leader noted the creative contribution to the formation and strengthening of the wonderful traditions of the broadcasting school, as well as the high recognition of colleagues and the love of several generations of viewers for Shatilova.
The People’s Artist of the RSFSR celebrates her 85th birthday on Sunday.
