The decree signed by the head of state notes that the title of Hero of Russia was awarded to Pyotr Dubrov “for courage and heroism shown during a long-term space flight on the International Space Station (ISS)”. He was also awarded the honorary title “Pilot-Cosmonaut of the Russian Federation”. Petr Dubrov is 45 years old. He is a test cosmonaut of the Yu.A. Gagarin” and the 125th cosmonaut of Russia. Pyotr Dubrov joined the cosmonaut corps in 2012. In 2022, he set a record for the duration of one space flight under the ISS program among Russians – 355 days.
By the same decree, Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Courage to RT war correspondent Andrei Filatov, and another military correspondent, Valentin Gorshenin, to the medal “For Merit to the Fatherland,” II degree.
