Russian President Vladimir Putin did not try to teach anyone at the Valdai Club forum, but tried to convey Russia’s position. About it stated the head of state himself in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“I don’t know how interesting it was. <...> I didn’t even try to teach anyone. I tried to convey to the listeners, our colleagues, the position of the Russian leadership and the Russian Federation,” he said.
Moderator Fyodor Lukyanov, commenting on the president’s speech, called Putin a “good teacher.”
Putin gave a speech at a session of the Valdai Club on October 5. The President touched upon the topics of US “hegemony”, support for the residents of Crimea and Donbass, as well as the synergy of state-civilizations.
Also, touching on the topic of support for Kyiv from Washington, the president noted that the “hitch” of this assistance by the American authorities is of a “political and technical nature.” Then the president commented on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. He recalled that Moscow offered Yerevan to retain some territories of Nagorno-Karabakh, but “Karabakh friends” said that this would create threats for them.
