A Patriot anti-aircraft missile system went off near the border with Lebanon in northern Israel, state broadcaster Kan claims.
Army radio Galei Tzahal, in turn, reports that the air defense installation was activated after an unmanned aerial vehicle entered Israeli airspace.
Israel and Lebanon largely adhere to the UN-recognized Blue Line, which is marked by blue barrels along the border and in some areas runs just meters from the Israeli fence, which is built entirely on Israeli territory.
