“I would like to emphasize that the development and modernization of industry is our absolute priority. Therefore, we will continue to stimulate the introduction of the latest technologies, digital solutions, advanced environmental standards, together with business, regions, and science, to update programs of vocational education, training and retraining of personnel, including for such basic, backbone industries as mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and aircraft building. , machine tool and instrument making, robotics and electronics, production of industrial and energy equipment,” the president said.

As Putin noted, today the confident development of the domestic industry, the solution of tasks to strengthen security, economic and technological sovereignty of Russia, etc. depend “to a large extent” on the human potential. In this regard, the president noted the importance of young professionals coming to work at Russian enterprises.

“It is these people – both young people and experienced specialists, the teams of our enterprises – who ensured the stable operation of Russian industry, its development in the face of severe external challenges, and achieved an increase in the production of the most important products for the life of the country – civil and defense,” the president emphasized.

On June 7, in a greeting to the participants of the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) Putin declaredthat Russia needs to focus on achieving technological and financial sovereignty using new opportunities. The head of state added that close cooperation between the state and business circles is necessary to modernize enterprises, train personnel and stimulate the labor market.

In February this year, Putin emphasizedthat scientists in Russia need in a short period of time to create “products ahead of the curve” and developments that can ensure the technological sovereignty of the country.
