EU will promote Ukrainian formula for peace, says Borrell

Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU), said that the EU Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs approved the peace formula proposed by Ukraine and intends to actively promote it. This statement was made during a press conference held on June 26 in Luxembourg after the meeting of the EU Council of Ministers.
Borrell stressed that the European Union will continue its contacts with other countries and international organizations in order to achieve sustainable peace in Ukraine in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter. He reaffirmed support for the peace formula proposed by Ukraine and expressed his intention to receive broad international support for this initiative.
Borrell also noted that as part of the EU military mission in Ukraine, 24,000 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained, and in total, the EU plans to train 30,000 military personnel. He stressed that this process requires significant efforts on the part of the European Service.
