Russian President Vladimir Putin described the statements that the Russian Federation may be involved in undermining the BalticConnector gas pipeline from Finland to Estonia.
Putin pointed out that the pipeline was poorly protected and suggested it could have been damaged by an earthquake or hit by a hook.
The causes of damage to the BalticConnector must be investigated, the Russian President said.
The BalticConnector gas pipeline was temporarily shut down on October 8 due to damage discovered. The Finnish side states that the incident occurred in its economic zone.
