This is how the head of state answered the question of what he thinks about returning Russians, including billionaire Mikhail Fridman.

The President noted that it is necessary to judge by the behavior of each individual person and his actions. “If these actions are such that they violate the current laws in Russia, then, naturally, everyone must answer for this, wherever he is – here or abroad,” said Vladimir Putin. The fate of relocants returning to their homeland, according to the president, should also depend on the person’s actions and his attitude towards Russia.

“It’s one thing to break the law, and another thing to violate some moral and ethical standards in relation to one’s homeland. If in the minds of the overwhelming majority – not some part of some elite, but the overwhelming majority of citizens – a person behaved immorally towards Russia, then he, of course, will feel this when he returns here. How else?” – Mr. Putin answered the question of Kommersant special correspondent Andrei Kolesnikov.
