Russian President Vladimir Putin doubts that Ukraine supplied weapons to Hamas, but is confident in the continued leakage of weapons from this country. He stated this at a press conference following his official visit to Bishkek.

“I doubt that there were arms deliveries from Ukraine. But I have no doubt that there is a leak from Ukraine. The level of corruption in Ukraine is known, it is very high. The black market is developing in such a way that there are many who want to buy, and in Ukraine there are many who want to sell,” he said.

Russia has data on arms sales to the Middle East, but it is unlikely that this is being done at the level of the Ukrainian leadership, the president added.

Previously October 13 Putin stated about the need to create an independent state of Palestine with its capital in East Jerusalem. According to Putin, Russia proceeds “from the assumption that there is no alternative to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through negotiations.” The head of state also warned about the consequences of a ground operation in Gaza, which, as previously reported, Israel was preparing. “The most important thing is that civilian casualties will be absolutely unacceptable – almost 2 million people live there,” he said.

On October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas began military operations against Israel. The militants attacked the army’s border units and entered Israeli settlements, taking hostages from among both military and civilians. The Israeli army responded by launching Operation Iron Swords. Israel announced that the country had entered a state of war. According to the latest data, the death toll in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has exceeded 2,800 people. The death toll on the Israeli side reached 1,300 people, and on the Palestinian side – more than 1,500.
