President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian women on International Women’s Day. Mr. Putin argues that the most important thing for a woman is family, as well as “tireless care for children, their health, education, the desire to raise them so that they grow up as worthy, successful people.”

“You, dear women, are capable of transforming the world with your beauty, wisdom and spiritual generosity, but above all thanks to the greatest gift that nature has endowed you with – the birth of children. Motherhood is an amazing destiny for women,” the president said in video congratulations.

In his opinion, the meaning and essence of the family is “the continuation of the family, the history of each specific family and our entire country.” Vladimir Putin assured that the interests of the family in Russia are now “an absolute priority,” and promised that the authorities will do everything to ensure that large and young families “feel the care and help of the state.” He also thanked the women in the military operation zone in Ukraine.
