Putin called for improving the system of remuneration for teachers

Improving working conditions for teachers is one of the most important issues for the Russian authorities. Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about this on Wednesday, December 27.
The head of state sums up the results of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor in the Russian Federation during a meeting of the State Council. Putin recalled the measures taken during the year to protect the interests of teachers.
At the same time, the president called the most important issue the improvement of the remuneration system, which should be fair – teachers’ work should be paid according to uniform, understandable and transparent rules.
In particular, Putin demanded a noticeable increase in the incomes of teachers in those regions where they are significantly lower than the national average.
Different types are sold in the Russian Federation social support for teachers. In particular, in the Vladimir region, 257 million rubles were allocated for these purposes in 2023. Teachers in schools and colleges are provided with payments for classroom management in the amount of 5 thousand rubles per month, while maintaining previously established payments from the regional treasury.
Salaries of teachers of schools and institutions of additional education, management personnel and kindergarten teachers in the Trans-Baikal Territory will be indexed three times in 2024 – January, February and July.
