Putin called for attracting more “tough men” to schools

School director Galina Maslikova, during a tour of the life safety classroom, said that they have a “passionate teacher” who, after graduating from the institute, served in the army. Now he “coordinates the work of the Youth Army, in general he is so cool.”
The Russian leader responded by noting that “we need more cool guys in schools.”
Earlier, Vladimir Putin called the most important issue improving the teacher remuneration system, which must be fair – the teacher’s work must be paid according to uniform, understandable and transparent rules. In particular, the president demanded a noticeable increase in the incomes of teachers in those regions where they are significantly lower than the national average.
At the same time, the head of state agreed that veterans of the special operation – people with enormous combat experience and an example of true patriotism – could educate the younger generation. Putin recalled Bismarck’s statement that wars are won not by generals, but by school teachers and priests.
