Putin awarded Vladimir, Ryazan and Podolsk the title of “cities of labor valor”

Russian President Vladimir Putin by decree awarded the title of “city of labor valor” to Vladimir, Votkinsk, Nakhodka, Novomoskovsk, Podolsk, Prokopyevsk, Rubtsovsk, Ryazan, as well as Ulan-Ude and Khanty-Mansiysk. The document is on the official portal legal information.
The title was awarded “for the significant contribution of city residents to achieving Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” – the production of military equipment and civilian products, as well as “massive labor heroism and dedication demonstrated.”
The title “city of labor prowess” was introduced by federal law of March 1, 2020. Last November, this title was given to Astrakhan, Vologda, Zlatoust, Kaspiysk, Norilsk, Orsk and Yakutsk, as well as two cities in the Ukrainian territories annexed to Russia – Gorlovka and Luhansk.
