Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree, canceling time limits on the introduction of terrorist threat levels in border regions. Previously, the level of terrorist threat could be set for a period of no more than 15 days.
The yellow or high level of terrorist threat began to be introduced in the spring of 2022 in the border Belgorod, Kursk and Bryansk regions, Sevastopol, in two border regions of the Voronezh region, in certain regions of the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory. Due to time constraints, this mode had to be extended every 15 days.
The Russian President also instructed to strengthen the inspection and control over the movement of vehicles across the borders of Russian subjects, where the appropriate regime has been established. Vehicles will be searched for weapons and explosives.
The last time the yellow level of terrorist danger in the border regions of Russia was extended on January 20.
