At the ceremony state award in the field of literature and art will be awarded, in particular, to producer Konstantin Ernst, director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild for the film “The Challenge”, as well as restorers Andrei Golubeiko and Alexandra Orlovskaya for restoring the painting “Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan on November 16, 1581” . The State Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of humanitarian work will be awarded to Mosfilm Director General Karen Shakhnazarov.
The State Prize is the highest recognition of the merits of scientists and cultural figures before society and the state. In addition to a monetary reward of 10 million rubles. laureates receive a diploma, a badge of honor, and a tailcoat badge. It is awarded annually on June 12, the Day of Russia.
