Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that increases the fine to 30,000 rubles for failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on the agenda without a good reason, follows from a document published on the official portal of legal information.
On July 28 the law was approved Federation Council. On July 25, the State Duma adopted it in the third reading. The draft law was submitted to the Parliament on February 1, 2019 by a group of deputies headed by Andrey Krasov, First Deputy Chairman of the Duma Defense Committee.
Previously, the fine for failure to appear at the military enlistment office on the agenda without a good reason ranged from 500 to 3000 rubles. According to the new law, it will be from 10,000 to 30,000 rubles. The document also establishes new fines for evading a medical examination – in the amount of 15,000 to 25,000 rubles; for deliberate damage, destruction or negligent storage of a military ID or other military registration documents – from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles; for a change of residence by a conscript without notifying the military registration and enlistment office – in the amount of 10,000 to 20,000 rubles.
In addition, for failure to submit to the military registration and enlistment office lists of citizens who are subject to initial military registration, as well as in the absence of notification of their subpoenas, the law establishes a fine for officials from 40,000 to 50,000 rubles, for legal entities – from 350,000 to 400 000 rub.
The law also introduces penalties for failing to notify or ensure the presence of those who are subject to mobilization, as well as for refusing to cooperate with this process. The punishment for officials will be 60-80,000 rubles, for legal entities – 400-500,000 rubles.
