Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko began at the Konstantinovsky Palace, located in Strelna near St. Petersburg. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Lukashenko said that “there is no counter-offensive (of the Ukrainian army).” “It exists, but it failed,” Mr. Putin replied, TASS reports.
The leaders of the two countries arrived at the Konstantinovsky Palace for negotiations together in one car. The footage of their arrival was published by the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”. Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko should discuss the further development of Russian-Belarusian relations, as well as integration cooperation within the Union State.
How said earlier Alexander Lukashenko, at the talks with Vladimir Putin, he also plans to discuss the situation with Wagner PMC. They will talk about the future of the private military company. However, the Kremlin, meanwhile, neither confirmed nor denied the fact that the leaders of the two countries would talk about the Wagner PMC. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not say whether this topic would be a priority.
The last time the presidents met in person was on June 9 at the talks in the Sochi residence of Bocharov Ruchey.
