President Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with Uralvagonzavod workers, said that the Young Family preferential program will be extended after 2025. Under this program, the state pays part of the cost of an apartment for a family, and the funds are provided as a subsidy.
“Supporting young families, especially families with children, is an absolute priority. We will save this program; money has already been provided for this year and for 2025,” the president said, noting that the program “will definitely last” beyond the three-year budgeting horizon (quote from Interfax).
According to Vladimir Putin, in 2023, funding for the program amounted to 14.5 billion rubles. “And this amount is planned to be approximately this amount, a little more – 14.7 billion,” the president noted.
Under the preferential mortgage program “Young Family”, Russians can receive a subsidy from the state in the amount of 30–35% of the cost of housing in a new building. Both spouses must be under 35 years of age, but children are not required. A family can count on a subsidy if it does not own housing or the conditions do not meet the standards for the area or condition of housing.
