Putin announced GDP growth by 3% by the end of 2023

The gross domestic product of the Russian Federation will grow by more than three percent by the end of 2023. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this at the St. Petersburg International Economic Cultural Forum.
He said that on Thursday, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reported to him about economic growth in the 3rd quarter of 2023 by 5.5%. The head of state informed that with such figures, the final GDP growth in 2023 will definitely exceed 3 percent.
In September, the Ministry of Economic Development predicted GDP growth of 2.8%. This estimate was adjusted last week. The head of the department, Maxim Reshetnikov, already announced 3%.
In 2024, the Ministry of Economic Development expects GDP growth to be 2.3%, while the Central Bank’s forecasts are more modest – 0.5 – 1.5%.
