Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the size of presidential and government scholarships will be increased. In January, he said that they would be increased to approximately 30 thousand and 20 thousand rubles. respectively.

The President added that in Russia there is also a form of activity in which companies select students and pay them scholarships at their own expense. According to him, this is good for both business and students, since they will be provided with highly qualified work.

Currently, the presidential scholarship for young scientists and graduate students amounts to 22.8 thousand rubles. It can be obtained by undergraduate and graduate students under 35 years of age who have published works in scientific journals. Undergraduate and graduate students who study in specialties corresponding to the priority areas of modernization and technological development of the Russian economy are paid a presidential scholarship in the amount of 7 thousand and 14 thousand rubles.
