Putin and Xi Jinping sign statements on economic cooperation and partnership

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed two joint statements on plans for economic cooperation and deepening partnership. About it reported “RIA News”.

Earlier, presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that more than 10 documents were planned to be signed during the meeting. According to him, “directly” the leaders of the two countries had to sign two main documents, which were statements on a plan to develop key areas of economic cooperation until 2030, as well as on deepening relations, comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction.

In the Kremlin, negotiations between the Russian president and the chairman of the People’s Republic of China, which Putin called successful and constructive, had already ended. In his opinion, cooperation in the economy remains a priority in bilateral relations. Xi Jinping, in turn, declaredthat the meeting with the Russian president was productive.

On March 20, Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow for a three-day visit. After landing in Russia, he expressed confidence that his working trip would be fruitful and “give new impetus to the healthy and stable development of Sino-Russian relations.”
