Pupils of the orphanage “Olenyonok” attended a hockey master class

Especially for the children, the team of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region held a master class on playing ice hockey on the territory of the ice arena of the NTC Zvezdochka. The young northerners were shown how to properly balance on the ice, wield a hockey stick, and kick on goal.
“Some guys have never been on skates, but by the end of the training they were already quite confidently cutting through the ice and throwing puck after puck into the goal,” Alexander Spiridonov, State Duma deputy from the Arkhangelsk region, shared his emotions.
One of the young participants of the master class was so impressed that he decided to start playing hockey seriously. And as his first equipment for starting a professional career, the child received a stick as a gift from the player of the national team of the Government of Pomorye Evgeny Kasatkin.
At the end of the master class, already pretty tired guys enjoyed hot tea and pies from the Elbrus Club of the Leaders of Russia, as well as delicious ice cream from Severodvinsk.
– I am firmly convinced that we definitely need to spend time with children, support them, introduce them to sports, setting a personal example. Many thanks to everyone who helped to hold this sports festival, – Alexander Spiridonov added.
