Yes, I worked hard, I earned it…” And here one cannot but agree with Alla Borisovna. She earned money. Moreover, it is impossible to count them: we have bank secrecy. Let’s count the kilometers better.
Hinting at her forgotten services to the country (and these services should be expressed not only in creativity, but also in some civic actions), Pugacheva writes: “And there is no need to count the number of hairs on my head (after Chernobyl, thank you, at least something – that’s all that’s left.” Yes, in 1986 Alla Pugacheva gave a concert “near Pripyat” for the liquidators of the accident. For those who don’t remember this, in 2021, Danila Kozlovsky’s film (he also plays the main role) “Chernobyl” was shot. In it, the main character, a fireman, eliminates the consequences of an emergency, and he has a dream of going to Pugacheva’s concert. And the dream came true. And Pugacheva recorded two songs for the film.
Foreign agent Maxim Galkin described these events, during which he was 10 years old, on social networks: “Alla and her team went with a concert to Pripyat at the request of the liquidators. The concert took place outdoors near the scene of the accident. The risk was great. She could have refused, but she went anyway. For Alla, this was not only a professional feat, but also an impulse of the soul.” Alla Borisovna herself, showing off her courage a little, even called this concert a mistake. “Such stupidity happened because they didn’t understand anything! This is so wrong: they ordered oranges for Pugachev too. We didn’t know what radiation was. We found out when we arrived there,” she said on the talk show “Let Them Talk.” She also associated health problems with this trip for her, Alexander Barykin, Joseph Kobzon and Irina Ponarovskaya. “Four heroes in quotes. You couldn’t do this! I couldn’t allow this to happen to myself or to those I was bringing with me.”

Joseph Kobzon spoke to the liquidators just a month and a half after the explosion in June in the hall of the Pripyat city administration, just a couple of kilometers from the reactor. And yes, he called his fatal cancer diagnosis “Chernobyl autograph.”
In August, Valery Leontyev spoke at a cultural center in the city of Chernobyl, less than 10 kilometers from the explosion. During that trip he gave two more concerts in the village of Cape Verde and at the decontamination station.
And in September Alla Pugacheva gave a concert in Cape Verde.
Zeleny Mys is a rotational camp that was built for liquidators outside the 30-kilometer “exclusion zone” on the shores of the Kyiv Sea near the village of Strakholesye. If you measure it on the map, from the Chernobyl sarcophagus to Cape Verde is 42 kilometers. The liquidators lived there for months. Pugacheva’s concert lasted 3 hours.
Is it possible to measure services to the Motherland in kilometers? Probably not.
