Pugacheva’s children are waiting for online learning: how the departure will affect education

Eyewitnesses report that Alla Pugacheva, along with her children Harry and Lisa, flew from Moscow to Israel on a private jet. But until recently, a happy mother who sings accompanied her second-graders to the line in an elite gymnasium in Lipki near Moscow.

In the summer, sources reported that something went wrong in the Israeli school, which is why the Primadonna returned to Russia closer to September 1. They wrote a lot about the fact that Pugacheva and Galkin could not attach their children to a school in Israel, because they do not speak Hebrew.

– Some kind of stupidity, – says the educator and teacher from Israel, Yulia Ivanova. – Ignorance of the language is definitely not the reason. Each school in Israel has an ulpan for language learning or special teachers who accompany the child throughout the school day if he does not know Hebrew. And, in addition, in Israel, a child cannot be accepted to school if his parents brought him and wrote a statement. Because there is a law on universal school education. So, if Pugacheva’s children did not go to school in Israel, the reason is something else.

Some, referring to acquaintances of the star family, did mention that the spouses had a disagreement about the education of children. It seems that Maxim Galkin bet on Israel, but Alla Pugacheva believed that children should be taught at home, in a Russian school. Such is the manifestation of patriotism. Now, apparently, Alla Borisovna has changed her mind.

“MK” contacted the gymnasium, where Lisa and Harry had recently been in the 2nd grade. But to a direct question about whether Pugacheva took the documents of her children or not, the administration did not answer. But they explained that there are no holidays at school now: they are expected only on the 20th of October. By the way, this educational institution is one of the most expensive in the country, and since 2022 they have raised the price even higher. For the year of education of two children in primary school, Alla Borisovna paid 3.6 million rubles.

“If we were talking about ordinary children and an ordinary secondary school, the possibilities would be: family education or a private online school,” says Nadezhda, a methodologist at the Moscow Department of Education. – “Family members” are also attached to some school and take exams there. This is if you remain within the framework of the Russian education system. Usually those who travel abroad also have the opportunity to attend an embassy school. But in this case, I think, such attempts will not be made.

However, here we are talking about a private educational institution. Therefore, if parents still do not want to integrate into the Israeli educational system, they may be able to receive online education from the school for a certain period. Let’s say for a year. All schools switched to online mode during the lockdown, and private ones too. So they have work. And opportunities too. Or, perhaps, Pugacheva was offered to switch to some kind of remote hybrid of homeschooling and online lessons. Tracking progress in this format is not easy, but probably there are no problems with nannies.

It is possible that Pugacheva earlier insisted on studying at a gymnasium near Moscow also because the school is not only an official partner of Moscow State University, there is also an international program there. In high school, you can study according to the British school curriculum with British teachers and then get a British-style certificate. And for the entire “starter”, English is taught from the first grade.

However, as they say, Lisa and Harry Galkin also leaned on French. Therefore, some acquaintances of Pugacheva believe that if famous parents give their 8-year-old offspring to study in the Promised Land, then to a French school. By the way, France is one of the few educational systems where music and music theory are taught in high school. And, they say, Lisa and Harry went to the French kindergarten, back in the village of Gryaz. This is how French education will continue, no matter in Russia or Israel.
