Pskov took third place in the regional brand championship

The Pskov region open brand championship was held in Velikiye Luki. “MK in Pskov” was informed about this by the press service of the city administration. 23 athletes from Pskov, Velikiye Luki, Velikoluksky and Pskov districts, as well as the city of Krasnogorsk, Moscow region, took part in the competition.
A team of eight people participated from the regional center. According to the results of the championship, Pskov resident Pavel Vasiliev was able to take third place and received a bronze medal.
Let us note that tavrels are one of the varieties of chess, which is popular in the Russian chess tradition. Tavrel is played on an 8×8 square board, just like classical chess, but the rules of the game are slightly different.
