PSK Sakhalin presented the updated composition of the football team for the 2024 season

The professional sports club “Sakhalin” presented a new composition of the football team for the 2024 season. This was reported by the club’s press service.

At the press conference they talked about the updated composition of FC PSK Sakhalin. In the previous season, the team took 11th place in the standings. This year, island athletes will continue to compete in the Russian Football Championship among Second League teams in “Division B”

“For the 2024 season, the professional sports club Sakhalin has extended contracts with the following players: Ruslan Yunusov, Timofey Antonov, Vyacheslav Novikov, Evgeny Matrakhov, Maxim Eruslanov, Maxim Batrakov, Vasily Chizhikov, Valery Alshansky, Alexander Marchenko, Kirill Mogel, Daniil Bolshunov. Andrei Sorokin was elected captain of the team,” the message noted.

In addition, contracts with the coaching staff and team personnel were extended. Yuri Drozdov remains the head coach, Alexey Kosolapov is the senior coach, Vyacheslav Krykanov is the goalkeeper coach, Oleg Vorobyov is the doctor, Dmitry Konshin is the massage therapist.

This season, 12 new players arrived in the Sakhalin team, four of them are graduates of island football. These are defender Kirill Yu, forward Andrei Savin, midfielder Kirill Nesterov and goalkeeper Gennady Kupriyanov. These are graduates of the Sakhalin football sports school.

The team’s season started on April 7 away. The players defeated Arsenal Tula with a score of 2:1, becoming eighth in the standings. The first home match will take place on April 21 at the Spartak stadium at 16:00.
