Yaroslavl Lokomotiv will play the final of the Gagarin Cup with Magnitogorsk Metallurg. The second finalist of the playoffs was determined on Monday, in the seventh match of the semi-final series with Avtomobilist. Magnitogorsk was leading throughout the match. And she managed to maintain her advantage until the final siren.
The first two games of the final will be held in Magnitogorsk. On April 18 and 20, Lokomotiv will compete for the main KHL prize on the road. And 22 and 24 – at the home “Arena-2000” – for the first time since 2009.
The Yaroslavl team has not won the Gagarin Cup gold since 2003. Metallurg Magnitogorsk was the champion in 2013 and 2016.
