The standard provides for both contact and contactless delivery

The first state standard in Russia, in accordance with which the delivery of public catering products will be carried out according to consumer orders, was adopted by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart). In accordance with it, couriers can deliver almost any food and related products, with the exception of alcohol and tobacco products.

The standard determines that delivery services have the right to be provided both by food producers (“own delivery”), and by aggregators and delivery service operators.

The range of delivered products is clearly defined. These can be culinary semi-finished products, dishes, drinks, culinary, confectionery and bakery products.

The standard specifically stipulates what exactly the delivery person can include in the order, except for food. This includes not only packaging materials, disposable cutlery and dishes, paper and other napkins, but also salt, pepper, other spices, industrial soft drinks, as well as souvenirs and various printed products.

When picking orders, it will be necessary to observe the so-called principle of product proximity, that is, products that can have a bad effect on one another will need to be packaged separately. For example, foods that easily absorb odors should not be packaged with strong-smelling foods.

The standard provides for both contact and contactless delivery. In the second case, the courier delivers food to the door of an apartment or office or to a contactless delivery point (“grocery machine”).
