They hope to fetch up to $100,000 for the historical relic.

The blouse worn by Princess Diana in her 1981 royal engagement portrait is going up for auction. A pink top designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel is among the famous clothing items to be auctioned off.

The top worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, for her engagement portrait in 1981 is among the lots in the famous clothing auction.

PA Media reports that the pink crepe blouse with a frill collar and loose pleats at the front worn by Diana was captured by royal photographer Lord Snowdon and is being offered for sale at Julien’s Auctions.

Estimated at $80,000-$100,000, the piece was created by designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who that same year designed Diana’s wedding dress for her wedding to the then Prince of Wales (now King Charles III).

The blouse was previously exhibited at Kensington Palace in London as part of the Diana: Her Fashion Story exhibition in 2019.

Diana’s portrait, published in Vogue magazine, coincided with the official announcement of Charles and Diana’s engagement in February 1981, the National Portrait Gallery recalls.

Meanwhile, a four-day event from Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) called “Hollywood Legends” will also sell an evening dress worn by Diana. It was designed by Moroccan-born fashion designer Jacques Azagury for the Royal Family and was worn by the Princess of Wales in Florence, Italy in April 1985.

The ballerina-skirted garment is estimated to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000, notes PA Media.

Hollywood star clothing also up for auction includes the Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1963 comedy Charade, the sleeveless dress worn by Gloria Swanson in the 1950 film noir Sunset Boulevard and Barbra Streisand’s sailor dress from special from the 1960s called “My Name is Barbra.”

Prices for these items were estimated to range from $1,000 to $450,000.

Also up for auction is the Apple PowerBook G3 laptop that Sarah Jessica Parker used on screen as Carrie Bradshaw in the hit television series Sex and the City.

The laptop, which shows Bradshaw’s character writing her Sex and the City column for each episode, has been put up for sale with prices ranging from $800 to $1,200.
