Primorye government dismissed – Kommersant

The governor of the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako, who was elected for a second five-year term, dismissed the regional government.
“The governor signed a decree dismissing the government. The last paragraph of this resolution states that the government exercises its powers until the approval of the new government. Now we are forming a new government,”— stated Acting head of the government of Primorye Vera Shcherbina. During the first five-year term of office of Governor Kozhemyako, Mrs. Shcherbina headed the regional government.
“I think that the government will be formed by the end of October,” she clarified, adding that significant changes in the personnel composition of the executive branch of government in the region are not expected. According to Kommersant, Ms. Shcherbina will retain the post of prime minister.
Inauguration ceremony of the head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako for a second gubernatorial term took place September 15th. Nominated for a second term from United Russia, in the elections of September 8-10, Oleg Kozhemyako received, according to the election commission, 72.78% of the votes. In second place was the LDPR candidate, Vladivostok Duma deputy Inna Kosheleva with 9.83%. The turnout was 45.58% of the total number of voters.
