Georgian Prime Minister Garibashvili explained the lack of a handshake with Zelensky at the summit in Moldova
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told reporters that he sees nothing strange in his failure to greet Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the European Political Society summit in Chisinau in early June.
According to Garibashvili, there was “nothing special” in this situation. He stressed that the leaders of 45 countries were at the summit, of which from 5 to 10 heads of state could personally see Zelensky. The prime minister clarified that there was no queue for shaking hands with the president of Ukraine.
When asked by journalists about what Garibashvili would personally say to Zelensky, the Georgian prime minister said he would simply greet him and wish Ukraine an end to the conflict, territorial integrity and peace.
