Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the President of the Republika Srpska (RS, part of Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik with the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Presidential decree published on the Legal Information Portal.

“For a great contribution to the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina, strengthening partnership with the Republika Srpska,” Dodik was awarded in the decree.

Dodik added that the Republika Srpska stands for an early peaceful settlement of the situation.

On May 22, Dodik met in Moscow with Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The press service of the Security Council specified that the parties exchanged views “on the problems of regional security in modern geopolitical conditions.”
