Russians should not apologize to foreign artists for the sake of their concerts. This opinion was expressed by music producer Joseph Prigozhin in a conversation with “Lentoy.ru“in response to statements by the Soviet and Latvian pop singer Laima Vaikule, who demanded repentance from the citizens of our country for the sake of her performances.

Fucking crazy,” this is how the showman described the behavior of the performer of the Soviet hit “Ah, Vernissage, ah, Vernissage.” Prigozhin asked who gave the right to people like Vaikule to tell Russia who should do what. “You better deal with your leaders, who committed outrages in 2014 on the entry of stars, cancel culture and the cancellation of the New Wave competition,” the Russian producer urged. “You better deal with this, you deal with your own people, there’s no need to interfere with us.” Russia doesn’t owe anyone anything, because you enjoyed all the benefits of the Russian Federation, the audience, and earned money.”

According to Prigozhin, Vaikule’s creativity is important, but he pointed out that people who helped the singer work on her repertoire played a significant role in her achievements. According to the producer, no one touches people like the Latvian artist, and who needs them. The time of Vaikule and her circle is running out.
